Crystal light o

The hospital start me on crystal light but they give me on lemon and orange that make with upset stomach. I start with other flavors none the that lemon or orange in it. So what I did was I had one bottle of 8 oz with Crystal Light and the rest of water now what I did was of the 8 oz of Crystal Light I divided 2 oz for every 15 oz of water a plain water and than I would take another 2 oz of the Crystal Light and that's how I did it so it wouldn't be so bad or heavy on the my stomach.

You don’t have to drink crystal light especially if it upsetting you. Your tummy will be sensitive to lots of different flavours, textures or smells while you are healing (so a good 6 or so weeks) even things you always liked before. Sometimes you find things you never liked before are now appealing. It is temporary and it dies take some trial and error to find what your tummy likes and doesn’t like during this healing/recovery stage.

Try a little lemon, lime or orange juice (just a splash) in your water. I was (still am) a lover of green tea. Herbal tea is also another alternative to plain water. And yes I often diluted things so the flavours weren’t so intense too: soups, hydralite, etc.

All the best with your recovery.

Powerade zero really has helped me get throgh and get in extra fluids. Because it has electrolytes, it also helped me with nausea. Have you tried clear whey protein isolate? That will work to not only get in your fluids, but your protein at the same time. I recommend Oath for the clear protein. It does take some time for it mix. But once it's all mixed, it's absolutely delicious. Something else I do is, I put water in my protein shakes rather than nut milk. I'm a little sensitive to nut milk right now, whereas that is all I used before my surgery. Anyway, adding water, with ice and your protein powder, will also add to your hydration.
