Blowing It With Christmas Goodies

For about 3 or 4 days while attending Christmas functions and with all the cakes, cookies, candies and pies at work.......I've just blown my good record of staying away from sweets. How do I get back on track? Is anyone else dealing with this. I weighed this morning and for the first time, I've put on a couple of pounds. :hungry:

I really blew it. I was banded on the 11th of December and I started off ok this morning. I had a small amount of scrambled eggs witha very small crescent roll. I know, but I couldn't help it. I work the night shift at the hospital in the er and it just got worse. I have had two biscuits and a small brownie. Now I feel like crap. Not from eating but from cheating. I swear I am going to straight liquids tomorrow. I am just worried what I did to my band.

Sounds like we are all going through the same thing. I am sitting here feeling really bloated... I am amazed at how much I have been able to fit in in the last 2 days. I went for a long walk today and will continue to do so in the next week just to keep the weight gain at bay. Good luck everyone with getting back on track.

I also indulged on Christmas eve and Christmas day. I really enjoyed myself and did so in moderation. Eating the foods I did was really a treat! I used to eat this kind of food all the time, so eating it on Christmas was not a special treat. This year it was! Today is the 26th and its a new day and I plan to pick up just where I left off. I almost feel like a normal eating person!

koodos trys...i feel that way too...i ate like a fool yesterday...it was delicious!!!! but today....back to the way of life...healthy choices and good foods....heck...we have to live a little....i have a skinny sister and thats how she does it...occasional indulgence she calls it (sp).... heck i'm doing that!!! depriving would make me want it more... gl gl

I over did it on veggies, so I had no room for sweets. Not that I did not want them but I was soo full, I just could not eat any. UGH! I though I would explode. :)

If anyone likes veggies and is looking for a great dip, I have a wonderful recipe that will make you want to eat the veggies just remember to CHEW! CHEW! CHEW! :hungry:

1 Pt Miracle Whip (light or whatever you want)

1/4 cup of puree'd spinach

1/4 cup minched onion

1/4 cup parlsey

juice of a lemon

Salt & Pepper to taste

Place Miracle Whip and Spinach in food processor until smooth,

combine all other ingrediants in a bowl, mix in spinach mixture, mix thoroughly, place in fridge over night and then enjoy. The longer it sits the better it gets.

Add more Miracle Whip for smoother consistancy.
