i would just like to day ...i feel ya!!! i was banded in 2007....lost 97lbs right away... in 10 months... then one day... i stopped DIETING...yes DIETING.... i wasnt having any sugar...or carbs.... i was on atkins.... now that i've stopped....i've gained back 50lbs...... i have no will power and am in need of support..... anyone thinking this is easy is full of it....it all still boils down to.....eating less sugar and carbs and calories...excercising.... thats the trick... as far as another fill cant have one...its almost all removed..still have night coughs... and i have esophigial ulcers from throwing up so much....ugh ..... help....i hate to be a crybaby but i'm addicted to bad foods!!!!!!! the easy ones ..... still throw up very often...and only have .5 in my 10 cc band.... i cant blame the band thats for sure... i'm a failure and eat the wrong things

My gallbladder had to be removed before my lap band ... it was done 3 months before. My surgeon would not do them at the same time ..stating that the gallbladder surgery is a "dirty" surgery. Thats what happened with me... gl to you and I too would be concerned... ask alot of questions.

i am so sorry for what you and especially your' son are going through.... i'm responding not because i'm familiar with this problem...but i wanted to offer you my thoughts and prayers, your' son will be at the top of my list... God Bless him, and you dear mom.

Today i had my first fill, i was scared and nervous.....to all waiting just know this...i wasnt numbed and i didnt feel a thing...doc said...ok 2cc's in ... i said " you did it " ..he said yep! ....it was a wonderful experience.. and i feel good. I'm ordered on clear liquids for 24 hrs and then mushie 24 then food... i had egg drop soup this evening... 1/2 cup and i was done.... i'm sure it'll take more fills from what i hear....to get that great restriction. But, I just wanted to share my great experience with those wondering.... I know i wondered! Good Luck and God Bless! :clap2: WE CAN DO THIS!

i had my first fill today, no numbing and i didnt even know he had done it!! he said done and i said you put a needle in me? and i was SCARED TO DEATH.... so dont be worried...it was nothing!

to shove a perfume sample right pass my face to hand over to my skinny sister.... was on purpose.... so i dont think she was having a bad day...i think she probably is a shallow witch with a B!

i'm not unhappy for losing at all i'm just bitchy because i didnt get my first fill it was cancelled so i go on the 15th... and i'm grumpy because i've been dieting and i dont like to diet... so forgive my mean attitude...i just want..or need to get to where i feel like....ok...this is it ...this is what the band does... i'm full or satisfied after 1/2 cup..right now i'm having a hard time dieting ... and it seems all the skinny ppl i work with LIVE ON CANDY!!! i know i cant do that but damn sometimes i want to!!! anyway.....i guess i'm just more upset that my appt was cancelled and i had to wait another week to start the fill process which may take several months to get right! gl everyone.... i will do this ...but i cant gripe to my family.... sorry i griped here :smile:

here's my story, one afternoon while walking into Dillard's ..yes i'll name the store...the ladies with the perfume samples were on again.... i was walking with my skinny sister.... this perfume lady ..reached past my face ..to give my sister a sample ....well, i and my sister let her have it!!!! and my sister told her what a dummie you are...i cant afford the perfume in here and she can...you just lost a potential sale!!! i was so mad and upset....what, fat ppl dont wear perfume?? ... and one more gripe...why are some booths in resturants so damn tight?? even my thin husband doesnt like them!! ..thanks for the place to fuss...gl everyone

well, the point i'm trying to make with MYSELF is this... i believe there are others who feel the way i do....i didnt have this surgery to be on a diet....i cant diet...and my dr said NO DIETs eat meat ..then veggies then starch...he also said taking one thing out of a diet completely is set up for failure...however, i do think this.....at the seminars and the meetings ..they want you to get this surgery...they want the money... so there were some things i wasnt told ... and the ppl at the seminars who had the surgery werent standing up to say...you'll never eat bread, rice,pasta, cakes etc again... i feel like something was left out! i know this will work with restriction so i'm talking out of shear frustration of spending 6 weeks dieting myself to lose the 30lbs i've lost...and i'll admit if i eat the meat first ..and take out bread i can do it.... its ok...but SOMETIMES I WANT BREAD!! my first fill appt was cancelled and my new appt made for the 15th.... hopefully he'll juice me up and i'll feel that full feeling that i am looking for...i don't have a problem with 1/2 cup of food.... i just need the tightness to hold it

my dr said eat however many eggs it takes before you get a fill..i can eat 3

i will have to agree with something you said nina....BEFORE surgery i was never told about calorie counting, measuring..avoiding food......at the seminar we were told...you can eat what you want ...in small amounts and you will lose weight... guess what... thats what weight watchers ppl do...and they lose.... so i dont know...i dont get it... now my dr's orders AFTER surgery are...eat meat then veggies then starch.... no where or no way have i ever been told 3oz's. right after surgery i couldnt eat much...now i'm 6 weeks out..no fill till the 15th. its all me right now...i can eat anything...but what makes me wanna answer to ur problem....the dietician i first met with said " EAT UR MEATS IN GRAVIES ..RED BROWN ETC IT GOES DOWN EASIER" ... so.... are they selling me something?? or providing me healthcare? right now i dont know...but i dont plan on living on diets ...or counting calories.... and as far as the TOOL story goes... please... i have 4 friends with the band who eat as they like and all of them 100 lbs less in a year or so.... its a TOOL i bought and paid for...because i was told it would restrict eating... NOT TO BE ON SOME DIET COUNTING CALORIES?? COME ON

my gallbladder had to be removed because of the stones before the surgery...it cant be done if you have gall stones or any problem with the gall bladder.... so gl to u
