After seeing the Feb 2024 thread and realizing my surgery is only 6 days later, thought I’d start a thread and see if there’s anyone else scheduled in March? I’m having VSG on March 6. I’ve been planning it since last June and am very excited! Any March 2024 Buddies out there? ?

My surgery went well. I also had hiatal hernia repair. I was an outpatient and had little pain after coming out of anesthesia, was able to keep water down and walked....gas pains were mostly non existent. Currently having mild pain, due to soreness from hernia repair. Liquids going down well, ready for pureed foods. I have my two week post op on Wednesday 3/20. I lost 19 lbs in my two week full liquid pre op diet and 6lbs down from surgery, so a total of 25 lbs.

Great news that you're doing well. Congratulations on having the surgery behind you! My surgery is scheduled for 3/18 & the Dr will be fixing a hiatal hernia as well for me. It's nice to know other people going through similar things. Love to hear how your healing and progress continue.

I was March 13 and everyday it’s getting easier and less painful but man it’s harder for only having liquids lol so many food commercials 3 days till I’m allowed full liquid and can have my favorite protein shake.

Me too Lostmom. I was in surgery on the 13th. Your team has you on clear liquids longer than mine did. I was clear liquids the day before through the two days after surgery, so I moved on to full liquids yesterday (Saturday). And I agree about the pain. It's almost non-existent for me aside from the gas (which is also getting better). I do crave real food when I'm hungry but as soon as I'm full from my 4 oz. of protein shake, those cravings subside. Keep us updated on how things are going. I like the idea of a, "surgery twin".

This is my third attempt in 8 years to get this surgery, and my husband's job change finally got an insurance that will do it, and now it's suddenly very real. It's a weird roller coaster in my head.

Ahh, does this make us "re-birth day twins"? Lol. Mine is the same day (have to be at the hospital in 12 hours -- and the nervous-excitement is kicking in)

I’m with ya! One more week…

I started my liquid diet today, and my surgery is next Tuesday the 26th. I can already tell this is gonna be a hard week

I love the fair life protein shake in chocolate it’s the best one yet

Scheduled for the gastric sleeve March 28th and extremely nervous. 6 days into the pre-op diet, so far so good.

Likewise! Sleeve on the 28th, started my pre-op diet last Thursday. Opted to go fully liquid to help prep for post-surgery, and because I was already on quite a low-cal diet anyway. Good luck!!
