Travel insurance requirements for surgery?

Hey everyone,

Me and the wife have got our surgery on August 17th in Lithuania, wondering what type of travel insurance we need to get if different from standard? Any advice would be much appreciated thank you!

I can't imagine that you will be able to get any insurance to cover elective surgery. I isn't a typical holiday, so holiday insurance will not cover it.

I looked into insurance for medical travel and the cost was astronomical. That was 2 years ago and I went from US to Mx, so not sure what other situations would look like.

Yes I've looked at elective surgery travel insurance and it's around £250 each. Travelling from UK to Europe. Wondered what others' experiences were.
