40 days til my scheduled bypass. Love reading all your posts but I’m super overwhelmed with the amount of posts and the format of this app. Any suggestions on navigating around here?

Hi, I understand how you might find this difficult and overwhelming, but what is very important is that you can learn a lot by doing simple searches. My bypass is coming up on June 5th and the other night I was simply wondering if anyone that completed this surgery had regrets. I just typed in the word “regret” in the search box and a vast array of information, some very old some newer came up. I could go to sleep that night calm, after I read all those posts. I learned that while initially some go through a regret stage, in time everyone is content with the life decision they made. This website is amazing when it comes to information. I hope this helps.

31 days remaining, I'm so excited, my journey started on Oct 28th 2022, the longest 8 months ever.

I cannot wait to hear about everyone's journey.

I have everything stocked. I have posters with every step of the way, I have to have my stuff listed in order or I will be lost.

Good luck to everyone

Thank you for counting for both of us. ? I have a phone preop on Monday and several physical appointments the week after. I actually decided to start the liquid diet one week earlier than they recommended maybe it will help the surgeon more. For the diabetics here, please know that there is a blood test that your diabetes doctor can order for you, that will let you know if you can reverse your diabetes. I have been a diabetic for 15 years and my doctor and I did not believe that we can reverse it. Guess what? The test results came back on Wednesday and I can still reverse the diabetes! Yeaay!

It all kicks off for me early next week when I start the pre-op diet in preparation for my bypass on 1st; I just cant wit now! We have choice of two pre-op diets and I have chosen the liquid diet. This weekend, I'm trying out protein rich recipe's that are easily pureed for after the surgery. Here we Goooooooooo!
