Surgery Scheduled for 4/6

Hi everybody,

I’m new here and just received a date for my surgery for April 6. I’m starting to freak out a lot about it, and don’t really have anybody to talk to (I’ve only told my husband, and while he is supportive, I don’t think he really knows how to empathize with me on this one). It all just feels so overwhelming at this point. Anybody else at about the same place?

Same! I’m not scheduled yet but we are hoping for April as well depending on insurance. I also have supportive family and friends but they will never understand my struggle. My husband is a health nut and lifts and exercises so he sometimes doesn’t understand why I can’t have the same results as him. But at the end of the day he wants me to be happy. I would be happy to be your buddy and someone to talk too. ?

We would not be human if we did not fear the unknown. This surgery is a massive leap. Lots of us are not open to telling about our surgery because of the negative feedback from people who think they know it all. This forum is a friendly safe space where we all have aired our good and bad days. We help each other as much as possible. Ask questions, read the back pages, there is over 20 years of them.
