Gas pain! Dreading this

Hi guys!
I have bypass surgery on 9th January, and overall very nervous!

I had a gastric sleeve in 2016, and the gas pain post op was horrendous, I am seeiously freaking out about this happening again.

Has anyone got any advice from their experience apart feom peppermint juice?

Walk, walk, walk. Deep slow breathing. March on the spot (standing or sitting), lift your arms (carefully) up & down. Gotta get the gas moving up & then breathed out. Heat packs can help.

How much gas pain you have depends on your surgeon, how much they need to use to inflate your abdominal region & how you process it.

I find it interesting that so many people had gas pain from the sleeve, I had zero gas pain, only pain from the incisions, but to be fair I think I slept through it. I don’t remember waking up in recovery at all. I only remember waking up at 8 pm thinking the incision pain was horrible whenever I moved. I had more gas pain when I had my hysterectomy.
