I have ordered this scale: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S7FWMC7?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details -- it is, in short, a smart scale with an app. I asked my Dr. and my nutritionist, who both thought it was a good idea. What is your experience with smart scales? What factors do you track and pay attention to?

Thanks!

I have it on good authority that scales lie. It must be true since I hear myself saying it all the time!

Smart scales just have more to lie about. Minimally more to obsess about.

Good luck,

Tek

Everything has an app now. Even my new electric toothbrush has blue tooth & can record how long I brushed, how hard I scrubbed, etc. I mean really?? Been cleaning my teeth without an issue for 57 years. Sorry. No help wth your question. Just being a bit cynical.

Iโ€™ve been using a smart scale for years and love it. I look primarily at weight and find it useful to look at change over time and this makes it easy.

Besides the obvious weight and BMI, I watch muscle mass, fat and BMR mostly.

This scale gives you that and a lot more. It seems dead-on reliable and the app is excellent.

I got a Wyze scale, shows the exact same weight as at my surgeonโ€™s office. I think itโ€™s .1 lb off, but itโ€™s pretty spot on otherwise.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
