May Surgery Buddies

  • Popular Post

Hi All,

Currently, my surgery is scheduled for May 3rd. I was wondering if there were any other people on a similar timeline who I could buddy up with for support and discussion. It will be covered by the insurance IF the results of my sleeping test were negative. I find that out on Thursday. Then the surgery is a go ahead for the 3rd. I am anxious about both.

I have read that online support groups can make a big difference for the long term. Happy to have you all here.

Yes! I’m on here as well as a support group for my surgeons office and additionally a Bariatric support group for where I actually live (my surgery is 3hrs away from home). So good to have a variety of resources!

Mine is tomorrow too, and the feeling is mutual, I hope I get rest tonight...

Hi Everyone, I hesitated posting as surgery was the third, yesterday was horrible and miserable but tonight it is getting better.

My surgery is May 12, having Gastric Bypass. Started my pre-op diet today.

Revising lap band to sleeve on may 16th. So excited to be a part of this group! And to everyone who has had their surgery hope you are doing well ?

My ESG was the 5th. (Yesterday). The pain for the first day was pretty bad. But after starting my pain and gas and naseau pills it got a lot better. I’m up now with gas discomfort but things are getting better quickly,

Hi everyone

I am having surgery May 13. A revision sleeve. I had surgery 2016 lost 60lbs. Gain 25 back. I live in AZ and went to Mexicali MX . I checked out the hospital and had a barium swallow. The technique that was the first time did not take out the hunger hormones. He told me it was not my fault. There are two pockets that need to be trimed to correct the sleeve. I did not have to do a lot of prior testing. Xray, ekg, blood work, urine test. My insurance does not cover weight loss surgery. This surgery is higher than some places in MX but it's a nice hospital with a blood bank, ER, ICU ect. 6500.00. Anyone interested forming a Facebook group of our own set to private
