Insurance in KY

Which insurance companies and plans cover lap band? I have Bluegrass Family Health and they have told me it is an exclusion. Any other companies/plans that cover it?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Casey and welcome to the forum, I am from Indiana I have Anthem Blue cross Blue shield that covers with no exclusion. If you are unsure just call and ask if the surgery can be approved if all the medical criteria is met.

Good Luck Cathy

I also have Anthem Blue cross/shield. They covered mine except minor copays for the operation itself and a couple of the tests.

I had my band placed March 2006. Dr. Argotte in Paducah KY did it. The Lourdes weight wellness center has an awesome support team.

Hi ChaCa

I'm from Southern Indiana as well. What kind of dog is in your photo? We have 2 maltepoos, Squeakers and Harry.

I went to a seminar at Clark beginning of January, have received my letter from PCP, and tomorrow will drop off my packet to the bariatric coordinator.
