14 Months Post Op & Struggling

I'm 14 months post op and struggling. Feels like the restriction is barely there. But....I haven't been 100% on track. Grazing a lot, not taking vitamins, not exercising, not a great water intake. Who else is struggling this far out? Any recommendations? Needing some encouragement. Do you think I've messed up my surgery? ?

Perhaps a check with your surgeon and/or dietician? Do start getting those vitamins, up the water intake. Start counting calories, find a baseline for your food intake and macros.

I agree that you haven't messed up your surgery - your tool is still there - but you need to get back on top of this before you end up putting all the weight back on. Unfortunately, this is a lifetime commitment. I've put on about 20 lbs since hitting my lowest weight, and believe me it's a battle every day to keep it where it is. If I stopped paying attention, all that weight would start piling back on again. According to my surgeon, grazing is the #1 reason why people regain weight. Try to get back to measuring, tracking, etc before it really gets out of control. It's not easy, but you've come this far - it'd be a shame to undo all the work you've put into it.

It's usually never about knowing what to do, but knowing how to do it. And that usually comes from the mental side of things.

Have you considered talking to a therapist?
