Hi!

I'm looking at having gastric band surgery in Turkey in October. I'm 215lbs, 5'5" and from the UK, 49 years old and reach for food when stressed, when happy... sure you know what I mean. I want more energy, less asthma, relieve knees and to wear decent clothes. Any info anyone can pass on about recommended clinics would be fantastic, good or bad experiences. Thanks! x

Hey there! So what made you choose lap band? And in Turkey? Here in the states a lot of surgeons wont do that surgery anymore?

I know there are a lot of good surgeons in Turkey (although be sure to research them before picking one), but just so you know, almost no one does the lapband anymore. It's largely been replaced by the sleeve. Although some people still have their lapbands and love them, a lot of people have had them removed and have gotten the sleeve or bypass instead.
