Gastric sleeve

Has anyone put on weight? I’ve been put on steroids Ann’s was told I might put on weight. I’ve put on a stone. Also sometimes I have stomach ache every time I have my meals, I have a telephone appointment on May 5th so will mention it then. I cannot eat curry, chilli or any spicy food, where I used to love eating them.

Does anyone also not feel like eating meals but can eat biscuits or chocolate through the day, my friend had the sleeve as well on the same week as me but different hospital.

Any help would be gratefully received.

I have not but only about 2 months out of surgery. Steroids will be the culprit to that weight gain I believe. I would suggest quit eating chocolate and bisquits (Are you talking about what we Yanks call cookies?) :)

I had my surgery yesterday and I was second guessing myself up until the last minute. No regrets yet.

I take meds that cause cravings for sweets and carbs and I find that the best thing is to avoid sweets completely, and then I crave them less. I had to increase the meds recently and I find this is the first time in my life I haven't be eating every sweet and carby thing in the house, because I've been just not starting on them. (I haven't had surgery yet so I know it's not that the surgery made me lose my taste for sweets/carbs.) I still eat fruit and artificial sugar drinks.
