HUNGER question- help!

Hi! I am new to the forum- a 30 y/o female that had surgery one month ago. I’ve been starving the whole time even though I’ve been on soft solids for two weeks.

im eating 1000 calories a day....I just ate a whole protein bar without feeling full!!! It’s freaking me out. A lot of people say they can barely eat two bites of anything at this stage. Did anyone else eat this much early on? My nutritionist said try to stick to 800 calories.....I just thought it would be easier! Is it normal to be this hungry and able to eat larger amounts 1 month PO??

I wasn’t able to eat much at a month out but every journey is different. Are you hitting your protein goals? Are you losing weight? Drinking enough liquids?

That said, I am not eating as much as I was, so I am definitely losing weight. Try to concentrate on your improvements. Our bodies are all different and we won’t react the same to the surgery.
