I'm feeling frustrated. I had an appointment today with my Barbaric Physiologist to discuss my food log and she told me I can not have any sweets and that the piece of chocolate I ate can really hurt me after surgery.
This comment just makes me want to lie on my food log!
I know I can't eat candy after surgery but I will be able to eat it in maintenance mode and my pre-op diet is the same diet as my maintenance diet. I have been eating 1200 calories a day, getting in my protein, veggies, starches etc and feel that having an occasional sweet is part of being balanced and satisfying a craving so I don't give in and binge later. The Psychologist talked about how the chocolate will lead to gaining weight later on, but I know I can not go the rest of my pre-op diet or the rest of my life never eating sugar.
I'm just feeling very emotional about this right now and would like to hear from other people.
