I just had my surgery on Tuesday (11/24). I’m glad that liver shrinking diet is over and I’m glad the surgery is over too!

I am post op 4 days and super pleased with recovery so far. Not much pain at all, nausea at times but nothing the zofran does not handle.

My biggest problem so far is I don't sleep much at night. I am not in pain or feel sick I just can't sleep?? Its a strange feeling because I could normally nap in Walmart on Black Friday if given the opportunity and I just have a strange amount of energy.

Good luck !!

I’m on Monday too for RNY bypass. I’m excited and anxious all at once. I’ve had 1 week of protein shakes and clear liquids. Bowel prep starts at 2 pm tomorrow. I’m looking forward to this next stage in my life even though it’s going to be challenging.
