Port incision size

I am just curious... what size is your port incision. Or... if not your port incision, what is the largest incision you received from your Lap Band surgery?

Mine is just at 3 inches! I think the Doc. said he had to fit his hand in my belly at some point in the surgery. Could have been for the hiatal hernia though.

My stomach had to be re-routed below my diaphragm (was entirely in my chest cavity) and hiatal hernia. SO, my port incision is about 3 inches long. I have another incision that is about an inch and the other three were about 1/2 long. I also had 4 other little pin prick size punctures.

WOW! I bet the surgeon was surprised when he got in there and did not see a stomach! I wonder what his first comments were when he saw that?

Mine is only abaoaut 1 inch. The others are very very tiny, almost faded now. I had only 1 outside stitch, the rest was glue.

after finding this poll I decided to take the surgical tape off to see how long my scar was, (never came off) its about 1 1/2 in. very thin, not to bad

I have the Inamed and my incision is exactly 2.5 inches.

My port incision is just below my left breast on my rib. It is about 3 to 4 inches long. I had seven incisions total, 1 very small one, 5 between 1/2 to 1 inch and then the port.

Glad you nudged, Archer...I just found it! Measured my...let's see....8 1/2 month old scar: it's exactly 1.5 in. I wish it was more like 1/2 in...

My port is below my breastbone about1.5 inches with about a 3 inch scar. I was surprise at this. Also I have a couple of tiny pieces of suture or thread stickin out of my belly.
