  1. I'm the payroll administrator for a county in southeast georgia with 400 employees.
  2. Hi everyone, It's been a long long time since I've been online. Had a run of bad luck the past 2 months. My dad passed away in August and my husband has been in the hospital for 6 weeks, but I now have him home and under Hospice care. I know that my faith and strength is being tested, but so far I'm hangin in there. I have my kids and grands but I've really missed my lapband family, Phil, Janet, Denise and all the oldies, but I'm back..... Everyone is really doing great!!! And lots of newbies... I've been reading everyones success stories and it really gave me the lift I needed. Promise to check in more often. Congrats to all!!! Teresa
  3. Hey Everybody!!!! Been reading for the last 2 hrs. Everyone sure has been busy. Just got back from a week in Key West! Boy was it HOT!!! DH and I took our DS, DIL,and all 4 grans!!! What were we thinking???? But really we had a great time, stayed at the Hyatt Windward Pointe, it was just beautuful... I swam with the kids every day, something I would never have done before losing 50+ pounds... The great news is that I lost 5 pounds!!!! Probably water from the heat, but who cares as long as I don't gain. It's good to be home, only now I have to go back to work Monday
  4. Hey Everyone! I haven't posted in a while, but things have been very hectic. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has spread to his liver. I'm trying to work and run back and to to his house in my free time. Right now he is not in much pain but we are going to keep him at home and as comfortable as possible. The oncologist has called in hospice and they have been wonderful!!!! It looks like everyone is doing GREAT!!! I'm so happy to have this group. Please hang in there with me 'cause I'm gonna need eveyone for support. Time to go to bed, I'll check back later..Love to all..... Teresa
  5. I'm 10 months banded and as restricted as my doc will allow. I can eat any kind of meat as long as it's not dry. I can't do spicy things, or brocolli, bread, pasta, tomato sauces. Nothing solid goes down before 1pm, so I have yogurt or protein shake. PB'd today on animal crackers:ohmy: (pig that I am, I ate them too fast and didn't chew well, was talking to my son..) So even though I'm 10 months out, I still do stupid things...But the band is there yeee haaa!!! So instead of eating the whole bag of animal crackers, it stopped me at 4 crackers. I love my band and wish I had done it years ago....
  6. Hello fellow South Georgians!! Welcome to bandland... Georgia Peach24, I'm only 20 or 30 miles from you... Congratulations on your chioce and good luck on your journey.. Teresa
  7. Well mine went from a 40C to a 38D!! WTF??? Don't know why the cup size went up unless all the side fat is now in my boobies... But hey I'm told they really look good now that I'm a size 12-14.
  8. pnuts mom, As you can see the liver lies on top of the area of the stomach that is to be banded. If the liver cannot be safely manipulated the surgeon won't do the surgery. He sounds like a wise man, so listen to him and try again in 3 months. Good luck!! Teresa
  9. jbflorida, Thank you so much for your support!! His name is Jeremiah, this is his 2nd tour. He's been there since last Sept and will be back home in Dec. Please do keep him in your prayers!!!!! Teresa Dandy75, I am sooo very proud of him...I will be sure and give him all of the husg and love from my lapband family..Thank ya'll so much!!!!
  10. Hey everyone!! It's been a while since I have read the thread but looks like everyone is doing really good...:rolleyes2: My nephew has been home from Iraq since May 29th and I've been spending all my spare time with him. Unfortunately he has to go back on Tuesday, but it's been wonderful having him home and spoiling him rotten!! We're doing a big cookout tomorrow night then he goes to Atlanta Sat. to see his Dad. Gotta go and set the coffee pot for tomorrow!!! Keep up the good work!!!

  12. "Weight" to go ladies!!!! I am down 3 lbs as of today.... Walked 2 miles on the beach yesterday. It's been tough though...Don't beat yourself up if you fall off, just hop back on with us, we are still here...
  13. Everything you are feeling is completely normal. I did the same thing. I asked myself "Have you lost your mind??? You are going to have a foreign body placed inside you...What's up with that???" Then I thought about my family... I want to see my grandchildren grow up, graduate from college and get married. Well honey, that's gonna be along time from now and if you don't change your life, it ain't gonna happen... Soooooo guess what? I took a long deep breath and got it together. You need to do the same thing. Think about where you want to be 20 years from now. Will you be healthy?? If you stay as you are now will you even be here?????? You are young and have your whole life to live so live it healthy... Besides Monday is my birthday so that is a good sign... Good luck and you will be in my prayers. Teresa
  14. I weight everyday, just can't help it!!!!
