Anyone for October 2020?

  • Popular Post

I was scheduled to have my surgery in April, but due to the pandemic it was postponed. But I just got my date, October 13th :D

Looking for my fellow autumnal surgery buddies :290_fallen_leaf::291_maple_leaf:

I am so over drinking broth. I’m going out of my mind! My left side incision is so painful.... at times I want to cry! I’m on day 5 post op gsv to Rny bypass conversion. I’ve never experienced pain like this. I was so cavalier about my recovery and I’m thankful my mother was able to help me, otherwise I don’t know what I would’ve done.

Has anyone tried a post surgery girdle/band? I feel like I need one of those to help with gravity and the incision pain! I’m about to run out of pain medicine and in my life, I’ve never gone past 2 days with medicine. Please tell me it gets better?

I had my surgery Friday Oct the16th not hungry at all getting my sips in but man the pain from where they took out the stomach It’s un real makes it very hard to get up and down and any movement it’s pulls!! I made the mistake of putting my tooth brush to far and gadded I thought I was gonna die!!!

They put an abdominal binder on me while I was in the hospital and I came home with it on. It really helped support my incisions. I’m six days post op and took it off at day four. I’d definitely recommend one if your incisions are painful. Check with your doctor first though ?

I’m so sorry! I feel your pain! I had the same surgery with hernia repair as well on the 12th. I’ve never felt the amount of pain as this surgery as brought. All I can say is it DOES get better each day. The pain kind of changes and is not as bad. I stopped taking the pain meds 2 days after surgery because I felt that they made me feel bad. I ended up taking just a half of pill at night to sleep. This is working so far. But I promise the pain gets better each day.

Congrats on the surgery Yes that part hurts! What helps me is having something to grab on when I get up. Using my arm muscles only and not my core/ abs. The sneezes are something else but after time the pain subsides

Omg!!! I went out today and bought one from the medmart! It is a lifesaver! I was literally crying because of the pain. I’m really surprised my doctor didn’t give me one of these things. I’ve been walking around carrying my spare tire... lol!

Oct 22nd for me. I'm scared now that it's so close, been wondering if it's the right choice but iv always had anxiety issues.
