Had my op Monday and didn't do too good to start I had very low blood pressure and I'm constantly getting the waves of sickness although I have not vomited, my GP is prescribing me a anti sickness medication, I'm feeling about 30% better but it's so uncomfortable to sleep they advised me to sleep low to keep my blood pressure ok, I can settle on my left side for a few hours then it starts to ache and the right side is a no no it's doing my head in has I'm so tired , I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this

Did they not give you pain relief on discharge?

Are you getting enough water in as this help get your blood pressure up, did they give you iv fluids?

My nutritionist mention mixing a little pink salt into water or drink broth
The salt is supposed to help with the nausea

I had my bypass Weds. I can only sleep in a recliner my husband ran out and picked up

ps, post op low bp is quite normal as any morphine based drugs they used will lower the bp

I had my surgery Tuesday. I cant get comfortable either. I'm a flip flopper. Been waking up every 30 minutes. I feel ya!

I actually had my op done on tuesday. My first night was horrible due to being so sick and not throwing up as well. I was able to sleep on my back and on my right side. I had to much gas pain if I tried to lay on my left side. I didnt have trouble sleep because of the anesthesia still in my system. It was like I could not stay awake.
