Weight loss plateau already?

Hi guys! I had gastric sleeve exactly a month ago. I lost a lot of weight very quickly from the pre-op diet and the first week after surgery (35lbs in total).

So it's been a month and my weight has stayed the same for THREE WEEKS. Is this weird? Is this normal? Is this bad? I am getting no response from the aftercare team and I'm just baffled/worried.

I had a 3 week stall after initially losing 43 pounds after the first month. Even now I have only lost 66 pounds and am losing very slow.

So, I think it is totally normal to stall and then lose slow. Good luck!

do a search on this site for the "three week stall". I can pretty much guarantee you'll find hundreds of postings on it

UPDATE: I just did the search for you. There are 17,500 posts on this topic, to be exact.

yeah it sucks, then it turns into like an every other week stall. just keep at it, do what you do and don't be discouraged. the hard part is done already now its just adjusting your life style

Thanks so much for the advice everyone. I googled "three week stall gastric sleeve" and was so reassured to see it is a very common issue to do with liver and glycogen stores. Have decided to not weight myself until my check up appointment in two weeks time. Thanks again everyone!
