1 week post OP, feeling great

Hi everyone, it's 1 week today since I had surgery. Overall I'm down 10 lbs, feeling great, still a little sore getting in and out of bed, putting on socks. The biggest thing I'm dealing with is the liquid diet. BORING !! I have 2 more wks on liquids. Going to be difficult. Chicken broth helps give me some flavorbut I can't wait to get on the puree stage. Just wanted to share with everyone. Hope you all are going ok, good luck !

Welcome to 'the other side'! Good luck. Don't rush the texture stages, we don't progress at the same rate sometimes.

I feel the SAME way....Im having my 2 week appt on Thursday and hoping they move me to puree diet. I cant do this liquid anymore!

I have my one-week appointment tomorrow and move to full liquids for a week. I'm a little worried that I've only lost 5 lbs and still feel a bit bloated, hopefully they can shed some light on that. Otherwise, I've taken well to the sleeve - no vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, problem with liquids, etc. If I hadn't seen the x-ray from the barium swallow showing me the tiny little sleeve between esophagus and small intestine, I would, like @Fara Jacobson, wonder if I'd had much of a reduction in stomach size. I suspect the real challenge kicks in with solids.

My surgery is July 30, I'm so happy that you all are feeling better in about a week. I can handle a week. I was told when I had the lap band to slowly sip the drinks. Protein drink should take about 30 minutes. I am feeling good about this! Hope you all keep up the great work.
