Hi all !!

Im 18 months post op !!

My highest weight was 218 lb . In the first 9 months i got to 168lb and since then I've been in a stall . 5 weeks ago i decided to make a drastic change in which i excercize 6 hrs a week and dropped my carb intake to fruit only .

This change has been really effective. This morning i weighed in at 159lb

Im really happy and proud of myself , however i am worried that as soon as i dial it down ( when i get to my goal weight - 142lb ) im going to gain everything back .

I dont want to stop but i also don't think i can continue this long term

What should i do ??

Thanx

It has to be a balance. Aren't you happy with where you are? A good combination of eating right and exercise is key.

I think that 6 hours a week is a healthy amount of exercise. You may need to continue that indefinitely. If you are doubting your ability to continue, maybe you need to find another form of exercise that you find more enjoyable.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
