    Soups ARE liquids for all intents and purposes, but you need to get used to the idea of not drinking with your meals when you get to solid foods.

for my program, the 1st 2 week liquid died included soups like that, I assume it all counts as the same. Soups, broth, water, jello, pudding and yogurt.

I did as I assumed it would all be ok as they were counting them as the same.. maybe someone from another program can chime in

I was advised by my surgeon that all the liquids in the beginning are considered liquids, so he said I wouldn't have to worry until I started the next phase next week... So to answer your question it is liquids. Good luck to you....
