i need some emotional support!

I have been having a lot of issues for a month know. A lot of stomach pain, heart burn and phlegm.

It got to the point on May 1 was no longer able to keep any fluids down and forget food. I was admitted in the Hospital out of state for 4 days.

They did an EDG Scoop the esophagus is really swelled and they did biopsy. I have Barrett's. I'm will get the results on Monday. I have flown home to get this taken care of.

My chest feels like some one is cracking my ribs. I can know keep ice chips down, sugar free popsicle (very slowly) and the most important medicine. The worse of it all is that I wake up choking on my stomach fluids. I have lost 17lbs in 11 days. (which is great but not how I want it.

I just want to say how horrible this sounds and I'm so sorry you are going through it. What do they do for Barretts?

  • This sounds terrible! We had our surgeries in February. I do get nauseated at times still. Hope you find answers soon!

  • I am so sorry to hear what you're going through. I hope you have some family and friends nearby to help you get through this. Sure hope you turn the corner on all this real soon. Hang in there!

All the interventions they can to keep it from turning into Esophageal Cancer. You certainly are at risk JDUDA, my 1st cousin June-Ellen died of that a couple years ago on the "table" at the Cleveland Clinic, firmed my resolve to complete my RNY. But Oh My I do still miss her so much, her death was a warning that I should live, but I wish I had her here to be proud of me TODAY?
