They want to figure out if you will be successful after surgery, have a support system to support your decision, and if you use food emotionally to fill a void.

mine was basically a get to know you, why are you doing this and do you have the support of your friends and family for after.

Just had mine.

About a half hour of face to face talk.

Aside from the generic, get to know you type stuff some of the questions were:

Why do you think you gained the weight?

What do you hope to get out of surgery?

What changes are you prepared to make before/ after surgery?

What support do you have?

Any past trauma?

Any past/ present mental health issues?

What are your present/ future coping strategies?

What do you envision yourself doing after you lose the weight that you don't do now?
