As long as there's now swinging from the chandeliers, I think 2 weeks should be a long enough wait. Take it easy and no hand stands for at least a month.

I waited until my one week post op appt with my surgeon. My husband was with me and of course he had to ask! We were told as long as I'm feeling up to it then go ahead...just be gentle! The last thing you want is to get your insides bounced all over the place ?

You also need to be careful of not ripping any of the stiches out.

The consensus of hospital nurses is that you at least wait until you get home. Most docs, like kygirl's, is when you feel up to it, and avoid any positions that may stress the incisions (i.e, the "no swinging from the chandeliers" advice.)

The "end result" won't do any damage to you, just be careful how you get there!
