Hello there,
I had my RNY on the 23rd and was discharged yesterday so I've been home a full 24 hours. Liquids are going down fine, minimal nausea, though the thought of chewing real foods again makes me tired. I SEVERELY underestimated how much pain I'd be in but it's manageable. I had a hiatal hernia repaired and my gallbladder removed so those are sources of pain as well.
My primary issue? Gas.
I've never wanted to pass gas so much in my life. It's also a sentence I never thought I'd type but here I am. I was told by my nurse not to be surprised if I didn't have a bowel movement until this weekend and I honestly wanted to cry. I've been walking and it does help it move the gas but it's moving up and not out. I was also told that milk of magnesia may help but I feel like that is a last resort. Any suggestions?
I just wanna fart.
