2 weeks post op

Hi, I had surgery 12/17 in that first week I lost 20 pounds. This second week I have just gained and lost the same 2 pounds, I'm ending week 2 higher than I ended week 1. Is this normal?

  • I need to get myself down to only weighing once a week first haha

  • Just remember, it is a constant work of progress. You will constantly plan, replan, and try to change how you are doing things for at least the next few months until you have your own system in place.

  • That's totally me. 12/17 sleeve, down 20lbs all in week 1.. I havent lost at all since.

I had RNY on the same day. I'm doing the same thing. I think I will only weigh once a month. Everybody goes through this.

You lost a lot of weight like me before surgery. I think that might also effect the post op losses. ( just a guess)

there is always post op gain due to the amount of gas and liquids they fill you with during surgery. It took me a week or so to get back to surgery weight from all i was pumped with. I gained 15 pounds just from surgery.. but as of this morning i am down a total of 50.2.. 7 weeks post op..

you will also hit stalls. I have hit 2 so far.. and i am only 7 weeks out. It is your body catching up to you. My first one lasted 8 days and my second one just ended 2 days ago and lasted 4 days.

Same for me vsg 12/17 i been up n down & stuck. I thought it was the scale

12/17 sleeve. I’m down 14 lbs. Lost in the first 10 days and nothing since! Going to post op visit tomorrow. With all the liquids I’m sure I’m getting around 600 calories but not losing. Why?????
