What about meds?

I had my surgery almost three weeks ago and I want to ask everyone about medications? I take anti-depression meds and have just been crushing them with no apparent problem.........is that okay? Has anyone had trouble taking their meds? Any kind of meds?

It really depends on the specific drugs you are taking. Not all drugs can be crushed, if they are time released the absolutely can't be crushed. You need to talk to your pharmacist and verify before crushing ANYTHING.

I was afraid to take my meds too, I am 2 weeks out and I take all mine in the morning with a protein shake. I have a large fish oil pill, and huge calcium pill, and about 4 other med. size ones. And I taped them all to a piece of paper, so my doctor could see them at my 2 week visit, and he said if I can swallow them, they would go through with no problem!!! So good luck!!!
