Hey folks, I figured I'd ask 2 burning questions I've had. I'm 8 days post op VSG.
1. Has anyone else had to do a TWO week CLEAR liquid diet post op? My surgeon doesn't even allow protein shakes, just clear liquids and I feel like I'm just not getting enough calories. I am getting 40g of protein with a protein water by isopure but clear liquids for 14 days is driving me nuts.
2. How much liquids can you drink? I honestly feel ZERO restriction when I drink liquids, and can easily get 8 to 10 ounces in comfortably in a few minutes. Is that normal and/or am I drinking too fast? I make sure to take small sips, I don't get gassy or "stuck" the way people describe. But I feel like I can ingest way more liquid than I'm supposed to.
Thanks for any feedback
