Was sleeved in July, but just wanted to tell you all that you got this. It's going to be rough at first but when those times come just remember that the recovery process is only temporary and when you

October 3rd! I'm nervous! And also excited! Btw, thanks for labeling this thread "2018." There are two other October threads that don't have the year marked, and I really hope some of us stay in

I've started a list to help people find their surgery buddies. This is supposed to just be sleevers, but I bet some others snuck on. It's supposed to be all the October sleevers, but I'm 100% sure I m

it does get better, give it a few days. Sip, sip, sip, walk walk walk. You got this,
I’m post op day 4 and I can promise you the nausea will go away. I’m just struggling with trying to get enough liquids in.

Yes the nausea is usually from the anethesia it will go away my surgery was Oct 26 I went home on the 28th and I was fine. My struggle is getting on the liquids that's required down they want me to to 48 oz of liquid and 70 of protein but I'm usually at 45 of protein and 45 of liquids including my popcicles.

Hey everyone...who had their sleeve done 10/22 ish? I had mine with no issues. Surgical pain in the hospital, threw up once in the hospital when I got out of bed for the first time. Dishcharged the mornong after surgery. Narcotic pain relievers for that day and the next, tyelnol only for the following 8. Nothing for a couple of days now. I'm on full liquids and transitioning to pureed. I'm getting about 48-52oz of my water in. No discomfort eating or drinking. Some gas pain at first was due to drinking too much too fast. I am not hungry which is so bizarre as you all know. Sometimes I wonder if they really removed my stomach. I'm having no issues with pain and eating. No BM since surgery but went a lot right before and only liquid since. I've always been a 1-2x a week person, not sure how long this should take. I'm taking colace and benefiber. I feel like a freak, I can't seem to find anyone who's had a recovery like mine yet. If anyone has been similar, let me know ?? I'm so excited for all of us. I've lost 13lbs since surgery, and my blood pressure and blood sugar has corrected. I'm already off three of the five RX meds I was on, and another has been cut in half. I'm so stoked and excited about this journey. Yay, us!

10/23 here...no pain meds since first day and doing well. I am really looking forward to purée which I can’t start until Tuesday. At my one week appointment I was 16 lbs down since surgery. BTW I was too afraid to take pain meds thinking I may throw up so I could have used some for a few days but just didn’t do it. Congrats on doing well and getting off meds! Being healthier is the true goal!

They told me not to worry about protein right now. They said try to get the liquid in this week and next week we will work on protein
I have protein hot chocolate and protein soup as well but sometimes I just don't want it.
Can you drink the hot chocolate this week? I got out the hospital on the 31st. I would love some hot chocolate

I talked to my nurse today about my BM. I have not had one since Monday 10/29. She said its normal because I haven't had any food. She said to give it a week or so then if know changes to talk to my doctor about it. I haven't taken the pains meds. I don't really have pain nor nausea. Today I drank really cold water to fast while walking on the treadmill and it made me feel different but not sick

Thank you for the info!! It's helpful knowing I'm not the only one in this poop-free boat, lol!

Thank you! And yay, you are rocking it...16lbs! That is awesome

It is normal my surgery was Oct 26 and I just made 2 bm for the first time today I was starting to get nervous too. You'll feel better and more like your coming to normalcy once you do.

Thanks for the reassurance!

Hey there! Just had my surgery Oct. 29 and feel super alone right now. I didn't have much pain, just a lot of nausea. Had to stay in the hospital an extra day from the vomitting but now its much better, although not gone completely.
