I'm really just venting because bcbs tried to give me a heart attack. Just a little background, my surgery was pre-approved. Both my surgeon and the hospital were named in the approval letter. I got a notice a claim was finalized. They denied payment on the $82,000 hospital bill. I called to find out wtf happened. The eob said it was only covered if I went to a center of excellence. My hospital IS a center of excellence. She put me on hold and looked it up. It should have been paid. They messed up. Now it has to be manually redone and it will take about a month. I seriously almost had a panic attack. Thank goodness they are fixing it. I won't really be truly OK until it's actually done and paid.

I’m sorry! This sounds like a absolute mess. I’ve had bad luck with BCBSTX as well, but finally got approved.

I hope BCBS admitted their manifest sins, recanted their evilness and you've been able to move,on with your life. Things going better for you @ Trixie82?

This is happens all the time unfortunately. I guarantee it was a software issue somewhere. It's what they get for trying to replace all our jobs with automation.
