Brttnyj89 got a reaction from Frustr8 in Coffee?
I was told by my surgeon to wait 3 months until having caffeine, but that I could have decaf after 1 month.
I lived off two shots of decaf espresso with a caramel premier protein shake for 3 months. Now I have at least two cups a day and do fine with it! No issues!

Called first thing this morning and spoke with the dietician at the office. She kind of brushed it off. Said I was obviously not chewing my food well enough. I explained that I chewed everything to puree consistency and that I was sticking to my meal plan. She then said she would talk with my doctor and ask him to call me.
He called this evening and said he was going to schedule me for a scope. He told me to stick to liquids this week until I can have the scope done. : )

I love my apple watch! I bought it used from craigslist. It's just the series 1 but does everything I need it to. I love the activity app. There's also a icon for myfitnesspal that makes it easy to log your water.

It was a first for me! I don't remember anything. I remember getting up to go shower and next thing I was in the floor crying and my husband was crying as well. Definitely scared us both.

My nutritionist has said that sugar free gum is okay. I haven't tried it yet. I think the issue is if you swallow it.

I'm on the puree stage right now. My favorite thing to eat is egg salad and sugar free cheese cake pudding. I add 2 scoops of gene pro to my pudding when I make it. It gives me 20g of protein per serving.

I had my band for 6 years. It was a very rocky road. I had my band removed in May of 2018 and my RNY on 09/24/2018. It has been a wonderful experience so far. I can feel that I am full. I am loosing weight. I'm still on pureed food and my next stage starts 10/29 and I will be on soft foods.

Brttnyj89 got a reaction from Frustr8 in How do you know when your full?
For me it's more mental as well. It's like I know to stop. After I'm finished I usually have a little hiccup and that lets me know that I'm full. Right now I'm on pureed foods so I'm sure when I transition to soft foods the feeling will be much different.

Brttnyj89 got a reaction from jpginny in How fast can I bounce back?
I had surgery on 09/24. I took two weeks off from my desk job. After a week I felt like I could have gone back. I went back to work on 10/8 and on 10/9 I passed out and broke my foot in two places. So please don't rush it and make sure that you drink plenty of fluids.

I had the dreaded drain tube for a week and it was awful! I felt such a relief when mine was removed. I didn't even feel it.

Brttnyj89 got a reaction from Kbridge in Eating after RNY compared to eating after a band
I had my band removed in May and had RNY on 09/24. So far I am loving it! I'm never hungry. When I do eat I feel full and satisfied. It's a much different feeling with RNY than the band. It's hard for me to explain the full feeling. But when I'm full I know to stop. It's as if one more bite will send me into vomiting.

Not even going to lie, last week I regretted my decision. I had surgery on 09/24 and went back to work on 10/8. I felt fine. Was getting at least 64oz of water in a day, I'm on pureed food. I was eating correctly. On Tuesday 10/9 I had a syncopal episode. When I went down my right knee landed on my left foot. I ended up with a broke foot in 3 places.

Brttnyj89 got a reaction from Frustr8 in Eating & drinking at the same time??
I am 3 weeks out today, still on pureed food but I find it extremely hard to drink and eat at the same time. I felt that I had a piece of pureed food stuck and took a small sip of water, big mistake. From that point on I have set a timer on my phone for 30 minutes and start drinking then. : )
