Hi all - new to the forum. I have my ESG scheduled for the 17th July in England and I can't wait :). I have started my pre-op diet and it is hard, especially as I haven't told anyone outside of my family about this - so I have been making excuses not to see friends "for dinner". I am still slightly worried that I should be doing the VSG and not the ESG but I am hoping I will get the same results, even if they take a bit longer. Can I ask what the weight loss results have been for ESG with other people? There is still so little information around on it, it seems to only be done in the US, Australia, Germany and the UK by a handful of surgeons....

I had my ESG seven months ago (early December 2017) in Manhattan, and so far I've lost 45 pounds (from 250 down to 205), which I'm told is better than average.
