Of course im only allowed 3 protein shakes a day, 1 jello, or 1 sugar free popsicle. So it makes is, but goodness its terrible. Its almost over. Im day 9 of 14.

I had it when I was pre op and post op. You may also develop thrush. Your doc may or may not prescribe a medication called nystatin. It’s to prevent infection in your mouth as well as esophagus/stomach when you swallow it.

i needed it post op because I have thrush and I use it like a mouthwash. Pre op, a few days before surgery they’ll have you swish and swallow it.

You may want to ask your doc if you can have some now to use like a mouthwash

How's your water intake? I know some proteins can leave a weird film/taste in ones mouth, but with it not going away after cleaning... could be a bacterial/yeast build up. Could be mild dehydration. Certainly keep your surgical team aware of any changes!
