Pre-op and nervous

Hello! I’m so nervous about having the surgery because I’m afraid of dying during it. I know that risks are low and it’s a fairly routine surgery for most doctors who do it, but I’m still very nervous. Being 21 and almost 500 pounds I know I NEED to have the surgery and I’m going to have the surgery while I’m home from college this summer. Is there anyone who felt similarly to me pre-op? Or had a similar situation (I.E. high weight or in college). Thank you in advance! [emoji16]

I joked around with my family about dying on the table, but that's because we're weird people with a weird sense of humor. I never really feared it though. They gave me some type of drug before they wheeled me into the operating room that made me feel as cool as a cucumber. Idk if that's standard, but hopefully they give you that too!

Oh I hope we all get the Smooth,Sweet, and Sleek Drug, then we can ease on down ease on down the road. I might enjoy being like the Drunken,Mouse about then. Yeah the one that smoothed his little mouse whiskers and said "Now Where Is That Cat?". I'll wave to everyone in the operating room before they. make sure I'm safe on the table. ?Thats better than sitting and stewing about the future?!
