So I was sleeved on 4/19. Tomorrow I will be one week post op and everything is going pretty smooth so far, other than some discomfort when drinking too fast or too big of sips. My only issue is some swelling and soreness under my left breast on my stomach. My stomach sticks out a bit farther on that side which is weird. Is this normal? My first post op appointment is Friday but I’m kind of concerned...

Surgery Twin 4/19 :) I have my post op appointment tomorrow I’m so ready to be advanced on my diet I’m sick of Clear Liquids. I get the discomfort when I drink to fast as well. I’ve heard that’s normal. My stomach seems a little bloated hoping that goes away. I’ve lost 14lbs so far I’m pretty proud of my results so far. Sounds like everything is pretty normal what your feeling :) keep me posted on how your appointment goes.

I was sleeved 4/13 and had my post op appointment today. I lost 10 pounds on pre op liquids and 10 pounds on liquids post op. Starting purée/ soft diet for next 2 weeks. Have bought some of the bariatric pastas and add salmon or tuna for extra Protein. Had some pretty wicked spasms initially when I drank too fast but they seem to have abated. Still a little swollen in my upper mid section as well but as this is where the incisions are I think it’s normal.

I'm one day post op. Came home today feeling pretty good. A little gas pain, but other than that I'm good. Getting some much needed rest.

14 pounds is such a great loss! I’m proud of you! I’m curious about what to expect with weight loss, do you mind sharing your pre surgery weight?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
