New to this

Im 3 months into my journey i have my egd scheduled for 5/8 and slightly nervous about it. I just have to do 3 more months of medically supervised weight loss and then they submit everything into insurance. Ill have my surgery probably end of july early august and im nervous and excited at the same time. Would like to hear if anyone is at the same stage as me or even closer to their surgery date.

Hi. I'm pretty new to the group. I started in December with my first consult. My insurance required 3 months of nutritionist / doctor supervised weight loss appointments, psych consult, letter of medical necessity and a normal TSH test. I've done all of this and a cardio consult that my PCP wanted. My TSH came back slightly elevated so I had to switch my meds and wait a month to be retested. My retest is next Tuesday, so assuming my levels are normal, we'll submit to insurance next week. I've heard it takes my insurance (Cigna) about a week to get back with approval or denial. I'm hoping for gastric bypass in late May.
