Had my RNY 03/28/18. All went well and was recovering well until I started having a lot of pain in near my upper left incision. I got a heating pad and just dealt with the pain believing it was gas. It felt like a baseball was underneath my skin. I didn’t have a fever but I was tired. Again, I thought the fatigue was normal. I decided to call Dr and he said head to ER. It turned out to be an infected abscess. I am glad i listened to my gut and went to ER. So lesson is, if you don’t feel right, don’t be afraid to ask Dr.
