  1. Because my stomach was made too small as well as the entrance to my intestines. I'm having repair surgery in 2 weeks.
  2. I still see me as fat. I'm so self conscious of any pudge lol. I've lost more than I was told was my max loss but it's because I'm still on liquids and soft foods 10 months later.
  3. Still a struggle healing, but the results are remarkable. 10 months yesterday; gastric bypass in Tijuana, Mexico. Started out size 24 at 279 lbs, now wear a size 8 weighting 141 lbs.
  4. Yea my next step is to get a food allergy test completed.
  5. I know what it is but what i'm experiencing, bulimia, is the closest thing to the description.
  6. I have had all kinds of tests done by a GI surgeon. He's the one that suggested bulimia.
  7. I just haven't updated this in awhile.
  8. 28lbs? I've lost 118 lbs. From a size 24 to a size 10!
  9. No nausea just happens after the 1st or 2nd bite.
  10. I went from a sz 24 to a sz 10 in 7 months and now have bulimia. Im not sure if it's all worth it.
  11. Has anyone else developed bulimia after the bypass? I throw up almost every meal and have for the past 7 months. I've seen a GI dr and he couldn't find anything wrong with me so he suggested I see a therapist.
  12. It's been 7 months and oh so many biopsies and tests later and I'm still nauseous after ANY food and sometimes after just water. I throw up at least once a day but want to and try to control it everytime. I think I've become bulimic. What do I do?
  13. Stalls are going to happen often let me tell you, but from my experience some of my stalls need a kick start. Sometimes I had to revert back to going back on the liquid diet or taking a otc water pill. You will have to get creative along this path. DO NOT get discouraged and enjoy the new you over the next year!
  14. Still a struggle healing, but the results are remarkable. 7 months yesterday; gastric bypass in Tijuana, Mexico. Started out size 24 at 279 lbs, now wear a size 12 weighting 181 lbs.
  15. Oh wow! You look great. Like 15 yrs younger. Congrats.
  16. I answered by summing up that I am very disciplined meaning I track everything, even my macros, and I'm meeting all my requirements. I'll list everything out so you'll have it on hand: My water intake is 120 oz or more per day My carbs stay under 35 everyday My calorie intake is from 900 to 1000 per day My fat intake is under 35 per day My protein intake is between 60 and 80 I salsa every Tues and Thurs and I do cardio 2 other days during the week. I take all my assigned vitamins and supplements as well. What else details would you like to know? I, again, am asking to hear what people have tried and worked not just what may work on me, so that way this post is helpful to others, as well.
  17. I have to agree with sleeved36. It's when I'm doing everything right and no more than an ounce loss to gaining a couple lbs back. I am very disciplined on my diet and exercise so I already know the do's and don'ts, I was asking for advice about a true stall, not "I'm not losing bc I'm not doing what I'm suppose to" stall. And yes it was suppose to have written out four months since my gastric bypass sorry about that. Jsan I'm thinking I may have to cut back on my solids and up my protein total for the day a lil more.
  18. So I had my gastric bypass done for months ago and I have now lost 67 pounds since then. But now I seem to be at a standstill for the past 3 weeks and I'm not sure what is going on. How can I jump start my weight loss again? Should I go back to stage 1 and 2 of my liquid diet and see if that helps?
  19. At the end of the day you and only you know if eating any "no no" foods are for you or will result in a habit or cause damage to your goal. I workout enough to take in a lil more calories than normal. Talk with your nutritionist about everything not people on so many different paths. I will give an example. I got advice from a bypass post-op person that said to eat pickles when my stomach was upset. Well it caused me to get gastritis really bad which I'm still fighting. When I should've discussed it with a Dr. I wish you the best!
  20. Week 2 for me was chunky soups, jello, pudding, yogurt, mashed potatoes, cheeses, V8, and protein waters.
  21. I was told that they aren't bad for you just to buy the box with individual packs and limit myself to 2 packs a day at most. As long as you are exercising and eating otherwise healthy they're not the worst you could be eating!
  22. I'm 3 1/2 months out and I'm now allergic to poultry! Wth! I've been told it could change back though.
  23. I liked actual soup drained instead of broth. It was more filling. I started V8 week 2 and was a lifesaver! Also there's some really good Powerade zeros and protein waters out there.
  24. Preop 279 lbs Currently 219 lbs Bypass 3 months ago Been a really rough road but I'm still hanging in there!
