My sleeve is scheduled for 5/7! So excited and nervous! I’ve been a longtime lurker on this site and now that I’ve got my date it doesn’t feel real!

Congratulations! My surgery is 5/23. It's exciting and nerve wracking all in 1 but I'm getting more excited now. Yay May surgery buddy :-)

  • 5/11 over here! I'm so ready and nervous at the same time. Just keep telling myself I'll feel so much better in 6 months. I'd rather deal with some stomach discomfort than heave ho this fat through li

Hello I’m new to this app. I was just sleeved on 5/21/18!

Welcome aboard Melrami! I hope you are at home now and recovering well. My home made soups were SOOOooo good once I got home :)

My surgery is only about 24 hours away now! I’m hoping they can still do it because I’ve had a wicked sore throat the past few days. No fever though. I really don’t want to reschedule.

Just got sleeved 23 hours ago...everything came out pretty smooth. I may go home today. 05/24/18. The pain is horrible when first waking up . But decrease with pain medication. I still can't hold down water .

Sleeved on May 3rd.

I'm eating soft foods. Thursday I graduate to solid regular foods! I am still having a hard time with sustaining energy. I am following along with the food stages without any mental difficulties at all. My B-team said I didn't have to do puree foods this week, just soft foods. If a fork pushes through the food then its ok, Thursday I venture out into "regular foods".

For those getting ready for the puree stage, I found watching YouTube videos on VSG puree week very helpful. They gave me ideas as well as encouragement. I watched several of them. I don't have any recommendations of one over any others.

Yay for the Mays!!!

The first week will be a little tough but watch next week. You will notice each day is better and better!

Just had my 5/23/18.. The gas pain feels like contractions.. It's crazy. Today was a little better but now my stomache is so sore.. my whole body is.. Walk walk walk it does help!!!

Thank you K-but

Yeah I have to give my stomach time to heal, I still can't pass gas , so I have lots of hiccups and burping. Which makes it worst.

Congratulations !snoozingcat

Everything is going to be ok.best wishes from me to you?

Was sleeved on May 15th. So far so good. I have one more week of clear liquid before I progress to puréed. But I did purée some squash and zucchini that I had made my husband for dinner and it was amazing. A little early but I couldn’t help myself?. I’m still having a hard time with the protein but water intake is going good and walking 10,000 steps a day! Just take it day by day and you will do great!!

Just sleeved on the 21! The initial pain was horrible and I had trouble with vomiting really bad for about 3-4 hours after surgery! But once they got the pain and nausea under control it was much better! Now to get all this fluid in! It seems to take all day long just to get the amount they want you to have! I hope it gets better with time!

Welcome Melrami1981.

I am new as well. Still actually trying to figure out hoe to respond to certain posts. Lol

Congratulations !snoozingcat

Thanks :) I’m getting really nervous. I hope I don’t regret this. :(

I went back to work yesterday and I was so surprised by all the compliments! My coworkers all say that they can see a difference already and it's only been 9 days. I keep this in mind when I start to feel tired of this liquid stage. I hope everyone is staying strong!

2 hours until my surgery... wish me luck!
