Question

Does anyone know if you have an uti if that will affect you getting surgery or not?I'm scheduled for monday morning so just curious

Possibly. I would mention it before the surgery

Go to urgent care in the morning, have labs done on your urine sample, and get started on antibiotics if necessary. Phone your surgeon.

It's definitely possible. I'd go get checked right away. I do know the day of surgery they take your blood and can tell if you have an infection. Then most likely it would be canceled. I got I kidney infection about 12 days before surgery was scheduled and they canceled that date.

Ty all for ur responses....so I'm currently at urgent care they took a urine sample and confirmed I do have a uti they prescribed me anti biotics and phenazopyridine for pain,just praying this has no affect on my surgery Monday the Dr I seen today said I came in at a good time so 2 full days of anti biotics may help me out a lot prior to 3/5..***fingers crossed*** all goes well

Will praying it does and you have a smooth slide into surgery-land Monday March 5th. It has to be thrilling and yeah a little scary to be this close? Where are you having your surgery.? I know God will watch over you anyway but I like to pinpoint my prayers.
