I didn't mind my endoscopy. They used propofol (milk of amnesia). I do have two vague memories of gagging on the scope and the nurses patting my back and telling me I was doing a good job..

So strange that you weren’t put out! I’ve had two endoscopies since gastric bypass and was put out the whole time. I can’t imagine being awake or even under twilight.

I was completely out. Had no issues. I went to breakfast after with my sister.

Just had my EDG done earlier today. I was sedated but still conscious. I gagged the whole time. They had to basically hold me down. It was kinda terrible... but I'm thankful it's over! One step closer to surgery! They said I had a 3cm hernia, which is crazy. I had no idea. So, they'll fix that during surgery too.
I feel nauseous though. Is that normal?
