Tomato Jucie

When preparing my broth for the pre-surgery diet, I'm making bone broth. Can I add my own canned tomato juice as a variation?

I wouldn't dare "after"... I guess I'm asking if "Clear Liquid's" means just that...

Thanks for the warning!!

For my surgeons office, clear meant clear for the broth, and I imagine the tomato provides additional carbs to the diet that may not be allowed. They did allow for some soy milk in a protein shake though, which helped it be more filling. Since surgeons all seem to have different requirements you should probably ask your docs office for clarification.
