I am 5 days out from gvs. I also had a hiatal hernia. I am having very bad chest pains still.

Is that normal?

My gas pains lasted for several days so it's most likely just that. If you're worried it's more serious, i'd check it out with your doc for some peace of mind x

My hiatal hernia repair did not cause any chest pain. I had weird deferred shoulder pain, though.

Are you, by any chance, taking medication for acid reflux? If not, it might be worth checking into. Acid post-sleeve can be very nasty for some folks.

well maybe it's somewhat normal I had a hital hernia repair and sleeve on 1/24 and I had chest and shoulder pain , seems to be resolved now but it wasn't gas like everyone said at the Drs I know what that feels like... good luck hope it passes for you to

I had chest pain too from the hernia repair, t was a dull pain in the low chest. If it’s more severe call the dr as cardiac issues (blood clot etc) could happen.
