Nausea with Water

Just wanted to see if anyone is experiencing the same thing? I’m two weeks post op from bypass. I haven’t had any problems or nausea until recently. I’ve been able to tolerate everything that I’ve tried, but for some reason the past two days anytime I drink water it makes me nauseous. It doesn’t last long but it doesn’t feel good. I love water and I know it’s important but why would it make me feel this way? Anyone have similar experiences?

Before my gastric bypass surgery, I loved to drink a nice cold glass of ice water. But immediately after surgery, my taste buds changed. Water tasted so chlorinated, like swimming pool water, that I couldn't drink it.

I found that flavored water such as Crystal Light, took away the bad taste.

"Water nausea" - yes, I have experienced it. I realized when I first got home that water alone wasn't going to work for now and drank cran-water instead. As my stomach settled following surgery,I added plain water back in. The nausea initially was very brief. Real nausea set in on week 3. I went back to cran-water for a week then back to water.
