I’ve had heartburn my entire adult life and I’ve been on strong medication for 30 years. Since I’ve had surgery I’ve taken no medication & my heartburn is completely gone. I have yet to transition to solid foods but hopefully with a little luck things stay the same. It’s absolutely miraculous to not take medicine and feel no burn!

As someone who's aperated my stomach acid on several occasions and slept at an angle for 10 years, I myself now experience that dreamist of sleeps as well, yay!!!!!!!!!! It's SOOO awesome. I'm still on proton pump inhibitors but it' so much better now!! I haven't aspirated/ie: almost drowned in my own stomach acid since the surgery!

Glad to read that sleevers are having success with GERD. Did y'all have hiatal hernias that were fixed, too?
