I didn’t know it would be so hard to do this diet. I also didn’t know I was this addicted to food. I started a small diet before this but I was still able to eat food. I glad that there are groups like this and group meeting that are there to help. And the fact that I do have a good support system at home

I feel your pain I’m on day six and I can’t stop thinking of food but I must admit it’s been easier than I thought as I am able to control myself and stick to the diet.

i am avoiding going places and seeing people.

what kind of pre op diet are you all on?

Im currently having 3 shakes a day, unlimited “free vegetables” and 2 Litres of Water.

Surgery is 5th February for lap band

I'm on complete liquid...ugh! shakes, broth, two low fat cream Soups a day, sugar free Jello and sugar free popsicles and sugar free Crystal light...it's been a challenge at times but I've really done better than I thought I would. I've suck to it for 6 days now and lost 13lbs. My surgery is Monday and I'm excited/nervous but ready!

I understand. It's tough. But remember. We didn't get this way overnight. It is hard. It is the hardest thing we have to go through. But we can do it and take one step at a time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
