Pre-op liquid diet

I didn’t know it would be so hard to do this diet. I also didn’t know I was this addicted to food. I started a small diet before this but I was still able to eat food. I glad that there are groups like this and group meeting that are there to help. And the fact that I do have a good support system at home

Started my liquid diet yesterday. I feel your pain. I'm a Chef and it is taking every bit of self control to stick to it. 5 days to go..

I feel your pain I’m on day six and I can’t stop thinking of food but I must admit it’s been easier than I thought as I am able to control myself and stick to the diet.

i am avoiding going places and seeing people.

what kind of pre op diet are you all on?

Im currently having 3 shakes a day, unlimited “free vegetables” and 2 Litres of water.

Surgery is 5th February for lap band

I'm on complete liquid...ugh! Shakes, broth, two low fat cream soups a day, sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles and sugar free Crystal light...it's been a challenge at times but I've really done better than I thought I would. I've suck to it for 6 days now and lost 13lbs. My surgery is Monday and I'm excited/nervous but ready!

I understand. It's tough. But remember. We didn't get this way overnight. It is hard. It is the hardest thing we have to go through. But we can do it and take one step at a time.
